The fates of Destiny, IL are once again at work when Cashton Roberts lands on Delaney Walsh's doorstep with a wound in need of care. Except he's the homeless guy camping out on George Street. Why is he knocking on her door, dragging her out of her crying jag and pity party?

Things get stranger when a letter comes from a woman she doesn't know. A woman Cash knows very well. He begs Delaney not to open it until he can explain his story. A story that can turn her away if she decides.
