2.18.27 (release date)
Detective Mike Rindell has spent years in Major Crimes, but one chaotic overdose call changes everything. A stick from a dirty needle, a media firestorm, and a politically explosive death pull him into an investigation that reaches beyond a single victim and straight into the opioid pipeline poisoning his city.
As Mike chases the source of a lethal batch of heroin, the case turns personal. A false brutality narrative threatens his career, fear over a possible infection eats at him, and the one place that still feels like refuge, Bear Creek in the Adirondacks, becomes connected to the case in ways he could never have imagined.
When his aunt is murdered and his uncle is swiftly arrested, Mike rejects the official story. Digging on his own, he uncovers a town where addiction fuels corruption, power protects its own, and fear keeps people quiet. With the local police outmatched or complicit, Mike comes up against Mayor Grobb, a petty tyrant who runs Bear Creek like a fiefdom.
Gritty, atmospheric, and emotionally charged, Hanging Rock blends police procedural urgency with small-town suspense, family grief, and a haunting search for truth.
